TV Shows

Today I’m going to tell you about my favorites TV shows.
My number one is CSI Las Vegas. I saw it for the first time when I was about 10 years old, in canal 13. My mom used to watch but she doesn’t allow me to join her because she said that the serie shows a lot of murders, blood, and crime (and it’s the meaning theme of CSI) and I was too little but… I watched as well. Then we watched together the 15 seasons and we used to try to solve the crimes. Now it’s on air on AXN channel, but only old episodes because it’s already over.

I like the Miami version too, but my favorite one is Las Vegas. 

Another show that I love is Doctor House. I like the medical diagnostic, and although it was an entertainment TV show, I learnt a lot each episode of the 8 seasons. Actually, I still watch some episodes at Universal channel and I understand the symptoms and diseases of the characters, because sometimes are related to subjects that I study.

Nowadays I watch the funniest show ever: New girl. It’s about a girl that joins to an apartment and, with her new roommates, lives crazy moments. I like it because it shows young adults and daily stupid problems so, sometimes you can feel identified with them. The sixth season over in March so now I’m excited waiting for a new one! 

Technology

First, I need to say I’m not a technological person.
I use basic things and I’m cool with it. I mean I use my smartphone every day (just for call, chat and take pictures) and I listen music in a MP4, but I’m not dependent of them.

If I have to choose one I say my favorite piece of technology is my netbook.
My Godmather gave it to me in june, 2011. It was my first year of university and for the first time I needed a computer. I like it because it’s too small and lightweight, therefore it’s easy to carry.

I use it almost every day, mostly for university stuffs like check classes, make homeworks and reports, study and even to take notes in classes. Besides I can watch videos and movies, make planner's stuffs, paint and design a lot of things!

If I don’t have it I don’t believe my life would be so different because most of the things I do in my netbook I can do with paper and pencils. Obviously it’s easier with technology but not impossible to do handmade.

My Hobby

Since I was a child my main hobby is related to stationery. 

I had been always love paper, colorful pencils and stickers, so when I was 7 I started to collect “fancy papers”. I changed them with my classmates and I bought one piece of stickers per week.
When I was a little bit older I started to use planners like Pascualina and I recollect all about her.

Nowadays I still recollect stationery but now I make my own planners and stickers.
I cut the paper, I draw the pictures and cartoons, I paint them and I design different notebooks, all handmade. Actually few months ago I started a little undertaking. It all started with a familiar gift and I realize that my hobby was turn into a kind of therapy and business that I really enjoy.

Besides I’ve got another hobby. When I was in high school I had swimming classes for physical education. It was fun and I was good at it.
Then, when I was in University, for health reasons I start to swim at the Universitary Pool, near faculty and it has become in my favorite sport.
I practice at least three times a week and I’ve been learnt different styles like croll, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly stroke. In a few months I’ll be part of a competition so I’m really excited!

Why did I choose this career?

When I was in school I always loved biology and then at high school, I had my first chemistry class: I hate it! I spent the all year hating it and hating the teacher!

Then, in second grade of high school a new teacher came into the chemistry class and I understood that I don´t hate chemistry as I thought and actually I was good at it.
I started to study even more than needed and I used to help to my classmates after school.

I realized that I enjoyed teach people, so with some friends that like to teach history, maths and language, we started to teach to some children in Batuco and help them with their homeworks. We even created a “summer school” with 50 children, adding workshops, sports and music.

When it was the time to choose a career I was really confused between being a chemistry teacher and being a health professional.

One day I met the ACHS´s pharmaceutical chemist and she let me know the place where she works. It was amazing! Drugs, labs, patients and I realized that I wanted to be a pharmaceutical chemist too. That’s how I came into this faculty.

Nowadays, I´m happy with the career. Besides since last year I teach chemistry in a “popular PREU” in Peñaflor. At last, I could join my two ideas and I´m really happy.
